چکیده

Researching sensitive topics often carries immediate effects on researchers, yet discussions about the emotional and psychological impacts of conducting this type research remain rare. In recent years, debates begun to emerge toll that qualitative field-based violence in general, gender-based (GBV) particular, can have those research. Determination of ethanol in chocolate shell pralines and filled chocolates by capillary gas chromatography.

The paper describes a simple gas chromatographic method for quantification of ethanol in distillates of chocolate shell pralines and fillings. The samples were prepared in two steps. The first step consisted of ethanol distillation from the product and the second involved capillary gas chromatography of 10% v/v distillate with expected ethanol content between 0.06% and 2.5% w/w. Quantification ...

Beyond heat baths: Generalized resource theories for small-scale thermodynamics.

Thermodynamics has recently been extended to small scales with resource theories that model heat exchanges. Real physical systems exchange diverse quantities: heat, particles, angular momentum, etc. We generalize thermodynamic resource theories to exchanges of observables other than heat, to baths other than heat baths, and to free energies other than the Helmholtz free energy. These generaliza...

Beyond the Pap Smear: Gender-responsive HIV Care for Women

Women comprise nearly one-quarter of all people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in the U.S. and 20 percent of incident annual cases.
